Who We Are

Eagle Harbor Engineering (EHE) is a naval architecture and marine engineering firm with a customer focus.  We have a broad range of expertise and a can-do attitude balanced by years of experience.

What We Do

We have worked on projects ranging from spar buoys to a large ro/ro ship, but most of our work has involved barges and workboats.  We provide a full range of services for design, modification, and vessel operations.  Additionally, we have developed considerable expertise in marine construction projects.

What We Believe

  • Safety - Safety is paramount.  The marine environment is often harsh and hazardous.  Designs should recognize the hazards and mitigate the risks.
  • Value - Engineering should provide value to the customer.  The value of engineering is often hidden because the engineering is only a means to the end, but faulty engineering can lead to disastrous consequences with very high costs.  The design phase is the correct place to determine the best way to do something.
  • Teamwork - A project is a partnership between us and the customer.  We succeed or fail together.  To come up with the right solution we need to fully understand the problem.  It is our responsibility to ask the right questions, but it is the customer’s responsibility to provide answers.
  • Practicality – We have many years of experience and pride ourselves on providing practical designs which are readily constructed, built to last, and easy to use.
  • Openness – If we don’t think we are the right solution for your project we will tell you upfront and suggest other options.  Similarly, if we uncover a problem during the course of the project we will bring it up and get it resolved.
  • Responsiveness – Many customers operate on a 24/7 basis.  We may not pick up the phone 24 hours a day, but we are available seven days a week.
